UGK debuts at No. 1!!!

After a five-year absence from The Billboard 200, UGK returns to the tally in a big way as “Underground Kingz” debuts at No. 1. The hip-hop troupe’s first chart-topper, the Jive set moved 160,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Sound Scan, the best sales week ever for UGK and its members, Bun B and Pimp C.

Foxy Brown Joins Koch Records
After spending her entire career on Def Jam, rapper Foxy Brown has signed with Koch Records. A new album, “Brooklyn’s Don Diva,” is expected on Dec., 4, followed by a second effort, “Black Roses,” sometime next year.

Foxy Brown Charged In Alleged Assault
Foxy Brown’s temper seems to have gotten her in trouble again. The 27-year-old rapper, who is on probation for attacking two manicurists at a nail salon in 2004, has been charged with assault and possession of a weapon — her cell phone — for allegedly hitting a neighbor with her BlackBerry.

Hip-Hop Roundup: 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, The Game
50 Cent, who’s made a career calling out flaws in others, lashes out at Interscope head Jimmy Iovine in a new song, “Southside,” which also makes fun of Ja Rule’s new video, “Uh Oh.”
